Ok, so I know this is sooooooooooooo not makeup related but all you brides were hooked on watching Bachelor this season. I knew it!!!!! Raise your hand proudly if you did!!! :-)  On last night’s finale of the Bachelor’s season, Vienna got the ring and the rose!!! I usually am not a Bachelor fan but this season I was absolutely hooked!! I could not stop watching it, seriously, what is this world coming to? I really wanted Ali to win, I liked her and am really glad that she will be the next Bachlorette. She’s down to earth, fun, independent, someone I could relate to. I am really curious for next season to see how that turns out. They start filming next month. I guess I am now officially a Bachelor fan….

As for the final rose, I knew that Vienna was somehow going to receive it, even though I wanted Tenley to win. Nothing against Vienna at all, I just thought Tenley was a better choice for him. But on TV as in real life, we don’t get to pick who gets married in the end. What really got to me was why did he pick Vienna? She was just as pretty as all the other girls. She was younger and sometimes a little more immature than the rest of the girls, but why did all the girls hate her? That would really bring up red flags for me… I can see one or two competing as there will always be catfights when there are a bunch of girls competing for the same man, but most of the girls not liking her? There’s got to be something to that. .Just sayin….

But really, what was it about her that made him swoon? I don’t get it. They seemed to get along well, they had good chemistry, and they were like little kids around each other. I thought they looked a little more like friends than lifetime partners. But then again they hadn’t known each other that long and were still in the getting to know each other phase. He saw something that all the other women didn’t… I will give her credit, I do think she really likes him and seems to treat him well when they are together. But when that many individuals don’t like you, something is up…. Maybe she tried too hard and she stuck her foot in her mouth too often… not sure. The part that bugged me was that Vienna had been married, but this was the first time she actually fell in love. I would want to make sure she fell in love with him and not the drama created by the show. Hopefully, I hope so…

Tenley on the other hand, was so super sweet, it was almost unbelievable. I really liked her… She was warm and inviting and super sweet. They seemed to really get each other on an emotional level. I think Vienna and him lacked that on the show. She was a little too disney-ish at times, but you gotta hand to the girl, she always saw the glass half full…. I’ll take that anyday over someone who is pessimistic all the time…. She was absolutely PERFECT on paper..So why didn’t he pick her??? Was it because everyone was pressuring him to pick the perfect girl? Maybe he felt too safe with her, maybe she was too understanding, that she would never get past her history, or had he not learned his past lessons on picking the bad girls? P.S She would have been a GREAT addition to Dancing with the Stars!!!!!!

So it brings me to this point, sometimes in love (or on a scripted show) you just pick who you love at the moment, even if loved ones tell you otherwise. Sometimes you may have that perfect person in front of you for a few minutes or many years and not actually see the gift that they bring to your life because you are focused in the moment and not years down the line…. But at least he was honest with Tenley in telling her that something just wasn’t right and he couldn’t put a finger on it. In real life, he might have strung her along for a few years, just because she brought that light into his life with no intention of ever marrying her… That would have been really sad…. I do  think Tenley saw him for who he really loved and that scared him. Maybe he thought he could never live up to her standards, as he had acknowledged that he had placed her on a pedestal the whole time. With Vienna he knew that she had flaws and that was ok with him. In the end, you meet, fall in love and take a leap of faith with the one you love and that’s what Jake did.. I commend him for that.

Tenley is going to find a great guy. She beautiful and super sweet, a guy would be crazy not to date her… To see what she had to say after the Bachelor click here
